Well, it's happened. I got accepted by the Peace Corps! Yippee!!!!
I'm going to Macedonia (just north of Greece in Eastern Europe) to work with local Primary school English teachers and I depart Sept 22nd. This is a 2 year assignment!
I'm quitting my job (my last day is this Friday, Aug. 19th) and I'm getting ready to go. There's lots of little details that I'm having to hammer out before I leave the country. I really have a lot of deja-vous from when I was heading out to teach in South America 3 years ago. Yup, that was 3 years ago. Wow, time has flown.
I hope to have either a blog or website where I can put regular updates about my Peace Corps adventure.
